It started in 2021 when a group of UAF students realized that calculating their CGPA required manual arithmetic — adding up quality points, dividing by credit hours, and figuring out which courses to exclude. The official LMS showed results but didn't calculate CGPA automatically.
Worse, there was no way to look up multiple students at once. Class representatives had to check 50 students one by one. Department advisors had no easy way to identify students at risk of probation. Students preparing scholarship applications had to calculate their own CGPA from scratch and hope they got the formula right.
So we built UAFCalc.site — a clean, fast, free tool that does one thing really well: fetch UAF results and calculate CGPA correctly in under a second, for any number of students, on any device.
UAFCalc.site is a passion project maintained by UAF alumni. It has always been free and always will be. We cover server costs through non-intrusive advertising.
