1.1 Information You Provide Directly

Contact Form: When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, the subject of your inquiry, any AG number you provide, and your message text. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

AG Numbers: When you enter AG numbers into the calculator, those numbers are transmitted to our server to fetch results from UAF's LMS portal. We do not store, log, or retain AG numbers after your request is processed. The data is fetched, returned to your browser, and discarded on our end.

1.2 Automatically Collected Technical Data

Like all web servers, ours automatically collects certain information when you visit:

• IP address (anonymised after 24 hours)
• Browser type and version
• Operating system
• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• Referring website (the site you came from)
• Date and time of visit
• Device type (mobile, tablet, desktop)

This information is used for security monitoring, performance optimisation, and aggregate analytics. It is never used to identify individual users.

1.3 What We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect student names, father's names, or any personal academic records beyond what you enter into the tool
• We do not collect payment information (the service is free)
• We do not create user accounts or profiles
• We do not track you across other websites (though our advertising partners may — see Section 3)

2. Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. UAFCalc.site uses the following categories of cookies:

3. Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising

UAFCalc.site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. This allows us to offer the tool completely free to all UAF students. You should be aware of the following:

• Google AdSense uses cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website and other websites across the internet
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to UAFCalc.site and/or other sites on the internet
• You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings
• Alternatively, visit www.aboutads.info to opt out of third-party vendor use of cookies for personalised advertising

We do not control the content of ads served by Google AdSense. The presence of an advertisement does not constitute our endorsement of that product or service.

4. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use UAFCalc.site. The data collected includes page views, session duration, navigation paths, device types, and geographic region (city-level only). All data is anonymised — IP addresses are truncated before storage.

Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

5. How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Service delivery: Fetching UAF results and calculating CGPA when you use the calculator
• Customer support: Responding to contact form submissions and bug reports
• Analytics: Understanding aggregate usage patterns to improve the tool

• Analytics data: Retained per Google Analytics's 14-month retention policy
• Cookie preference: Stored in your browser for 1 year
